Academic Progression and Course Failure Policy
To ensure student success and maintain the integrity of the veterinary technology curriculum, each semester of the program is designed to build sequentially in knowledge, clinical skills, and professional competencies.
All students must earn a grade of “C” or higher in all veterinary technology program courses to continue progression in the program. Because each semester contributes essential foundational material for subsequent semesters, students are expected to demonstrate satisfactory academic performance in all required courses. Students who earn a failing grade in any veterinary technology program course will not be permitted to continue progression in the program sequence.
Students who do not successfully complete a required course must re-enter the program the following academic year, as each veterinary technology course is only offered once per year.
This policy ensures that all students progressing through the program possess the necessary knowledge and skills to safely and effectively advance through increasingly complex clinical and academic training.
The Veterinary Technology program adheres to the OTC Grading System.
