Doctor of Pharmacy, PharmD- Pathway Program
Mount Saint Mary College and Touro College of Pharmacy have entered into a 3+4 Articulation (Linkage) Agreement that allows our students to begin their first year of the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD.) degree following completion of their Junior year at MSMC. Biology students who are admitted to Touro College would earn the bachelor’s degree after completing their first year at Touro College. Mount Saint Mary College students not only complete the Doctor of Pharmacy degree within seven years, rather than eight, but also enter sooner into the workforce.
Mount Saint Mary College shall recommend the Pathway to students who meet the following minimum academic requirements and advise them of the additional Pathway application requirements to be considered:
1. A cumulative GPA of 3.0 and a science GPA of 2.75. In unique cases a lower GPA may be considered.
2. Meet all of the Mandatory Prerequisite Course Requirements listed under Program Requirements.
3. A recommendation by a science professor from whom the student earned a grade, a healthcare professional and 1 additional recommendation.
4. A satisfactory personal interview by Touro College of Pharmacy.
5. A completed PharmCAS application.
While students meeting the above requirements are given preference in the admissions process, participation in the Pathway is not a guarantee that the candidate will be granted admission to Touro College of Pharmacy, and final decisions will be made in the sole discretion of Touro College of Pharmacy. Students participating in the Pathway who do not meet or exceed the above standards have the privilege of applying for admission to Touro College of Pharmacy through the regular channels or procedures.
