NUR 5240 ADVANCED CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY ACROSS THE LIFESPAN
In-depth study of pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetic therapy of health maintenance and health problems across the lifespan. Includes implications of age, drug interactions, client and family lifestyles. Transition of advanced pathophysiological concepts inot prescriptive ability for treatment of disease processes and health maintenance are developed. Legal aspects in writing prescriptions, clarification of the practicitioner's responsibilities, patient teaching and integration of pharmacological treatments, including alternative medications are presented. Meets NY State requirements for prescription-writing privileges.
