This degree is for students who intend to pursue a Bachelor of Arts Degree at a four-year college or university. Students must meet the prescribed general education requirements as listed in the Catalog for the Associate in Arts (A.A.) Degree. Students pursuing this degree should complete the remaining required semester hours according to the requirements of the four-year school to which they plan to transfer. Students should consult with a Student Success Coach when selecting elective courses to determine credit transferability. The AA Degree includes IAI GECC. See the “Associate in Arts (A.A.) Degree Requirements

Other Requirements
- Complete the minimum required semester hours of electives. Students may receive a complete list of elective courses in the Academic Advising Center. Students should use a transfer guide when selecting electives as the transfer-ability of courses is related to one’s major and the transfer institution.
- Students who place into ENG 086 or ENG 088 are required to take CSS 100. Students transferring 15 or more college-level credit hours (i.e. 100 level coures or above) to Morton College are excluded from this requirement.
- All entering freshmen must earn at least a “C” in ENG 101 and ENG 102 for satisfactory completion of the IAI General Education Core Curriculum and for graduation from the College in all university transfer degrees (A.A., A.S., A.F.A.).
- A maximum of four credits in physical education activity courses may be applied, except for physical education majors.
- A maximum of NINE credits in career courses may be used toward the Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degrees.
