Learning Commons

The Learning Commons provides a walk-in space for students work on their studies alongside peer and professional tutors. The walk-in model allows students to visit the Learning Commons without ever needing an appointment. Located in the JET Library, students are immersed in an open learning area and afforded access to materials, professionals, information, study spaces, and peers deigned to enhance their academic experience at the University. Undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students have free access to writing tutors across all disciplines and subject tutors in the arts, humanities, and social sciences. All Learning Commons tutors are trained and certified through Learning Services’ CRLA ITTPC. The Learning Commons also provides walk-in access to librarians when research assistance is requested.
