THA 3420 Directing
The purpose of this course is to explore fundamental principles of directing. Students will study and practice techniques for visual story-telling and learn basic principles of staging towards an understanding of how to utilize a stage ground plan and move actors through space. Elements of script analysis will be explored, as well as the relationship between actor and director. The class will consist of staging exercises and will culminate in the direction of a 10-minute play. (Elective)
