PHI 3300 Philosophy of Science

This course explores the history of scientific thought from the Ancient world through contemporary times. Emphasis is on the examination of the "scientific method" both as it is described and actually practiced. The course considers science as an attempt to better understand reality, with implications for medicine, physics, psychology, sociology, the environment and more.
