MUS 2210 Perspectives on Latin American Music
Perspectives on Latin American Music explores the major musical styles and trends that shaped Latin American Music from the pre-colonial era to modern times. Students will lean to place the music within a socio-historical context. Listening characteristics of each style and learn to place the music within a socio-historical context. Listening examples and analysis will inform the student's abilities to recognize period, culture, region and style.
