HIS 2450 American History Through Film

This course examines twentieth-century American culture and society through film. It critically assesses how American society is portrayed in popular films at different times and within various contexts. It will demonstrate how motion pictures have shaped and were shaped by the society in which they were made, and thereby provide new insights into the American past.
