Statement of Purpose for the Nursing Program
The purpose of the Baccalaureate Program in Nursing at Molloy University is to prepare the nurse generalist to practice in a variety of health care settings in beginning clinical leadership/ management roles. The program is designed to build on the liberal arts and sciences and provide a foundation for advanced study. The Judeo-Christian tradition of Molloy University provides a basis for the nursing framework, thereby preparing nurses for humanistic professional practice.
Characteristics of the Baccalaureate Graduate in the Nursing Program
The graduate of the baccalaureate nursing program of Molloy University is a liberally educated individual who has acquired the knowledge and skills to provide humanistic nursing practice in multiple settings as well as a foundation for advanced study in nursing. This nurse:
