SPA 1060 Beginning Spanish for Social Services II

(formerly SPA 106)

This course focuses on continuing to develop basic communicative competency for students in the social services professions who seek basic conversational skills in Spanish. It affords students the opportunity to practice speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in Spanish, as well as gain knowledge and understanding of the culture. Particular emphasis is placed on the systematic master of vocabulary for on-the-job situations and conversational skills. SPA 1060 is intended for students who have taken SPA 1010 or 1050 or 3+ years of Spanish at the secondary level. SPA 1060 is equivalent to SPA 1020 or SPA 1040 and students can take only ONE of these courses.
