NMD 3820 Global New Media

(formerly COM/NMD 382)

Using narrative storytelling, interactive maps and basic JavaScript coding, students approach digital media through site-specific locative projects. Blending mobile storytelling techniques with media archaeology theory of data mapping, students gain an understanding of several web code languages and practice in critical thinking about location, travel, history and narrative storytelling.
