A study of basic biological mechanisms at the cellular and molecular levels. Covers the organization of cells, cellular energy metabolism, cellular reproduction and genetics. Three lecture hours and three lab hours per week. (Required for Biology Majors)

Minimum of 26 on the Reading subscore of the EBRW section of the SAT Exam or a 20 on the reading section of the ACT is required to enter this course or completion of ENG 0900 or ENG 1010 with a "C" or better, as well as high school biology.
