Billing Procedure
Each student at the College is assigned a student account as the basis for financial transactions between the College and the student. The College bills each term separately and the student will be notified via Marietta College email when the bill is available for viewing online. The College does not issue paper statements.
Student accounts are password protected in order to provide for security and confidentiality of the information therein. Students can access current account information by clicking the Self-Service link on their MyMarietta webpage or by going directly to selfservice.marietta.edu.
Students also may give their parents/guardians or other designated individuals access to select information, including the student account, within Self-Service. If a student wishes to grant someone this access, they will need to follow these instructions. Once the proxy is added, they will have access to only the information that the student has granted permission. If a parent/guardian or other third-party calls with billing questions, requests a balance due, or general billing information, we cannot and will not release that information unless they are a proxy or we have a FERPA waiver on file with the Records Office.
Enrollment in the Pioneer Payment Plan, and timely completion of payments under the Plan, in most cases satisfies your financial obligations to the College. The cost of books, clothing, and incidentals are not included on the student's bill with the exception of digital textbooks purchased through the Inclusive Access program. A student may NOT move into residence halls, participate in meal plans, participate in any extra-curricular activities, or start classes until all financial obligations to the College have been satisfied in the form of payment in full or payments made by the due date specified on their Pioneer Payment Plan.
Enrollment, class registration, and transcript and diploma issuance may occur only if all financial obligations to the College are satisfied.
To facilitate payments on the student account, the College provides several payment methods. The Cashier’s Office accepts cash, check, and credit card payments (Visa, MasterCard, and Discover). In addition, credit card and electronic check payments may be made through the student account via Self-Service.

Private Loans
Many students prefer to obtain private financial assistance to pay for tuition. The College cooperates fully with all banks and other financial institutions engaged in student financing. All outside financing must be completed by payment due dates or late charges will apply. (Semester Due Dates: Aug. 1 and Jan. 2)
