COMM 209 Constructive Argumentation

An introduction to the theory and practice of argumentation, the course emphasizes the process of argument construction, analysis, and engaging in constructive argument with others. Emphasis is placed on learning how to be an effective advocate through the principles of argumentation, including reasoning, evidence, and refutation, and on how to manage interpersonal relations during argumentative situations.
