HIST 329 European Feminism & Tradition

A history of women and the feminist movement in Europe from the 17th century to the present. Topics include changes in concepts of gender and sex, feminism and anti-feminism, women's experiences of modern war, the influences of liberalism, socialism, and fascism on women's lives, and feminist leadership on such issues as suffrage, access to education and work, economic equality, sexual liberation, and world-wide emancipation for women.
