COM 111 The Art of Story
This course equips students to craft compelling digital narratives and design effective messages for the modern world, integrating foundational communication and learning theories with cutting-edge digital strategies. Students will learn to create messages that are memorable, audience-focused, and transformational. The curriculum explores best practices in digital message design, including optimal use of story structure, multimedia elements, and message clarity, while critically assessing digital communication through a biblical lens. Students will examine storytelling and message creation as acts of stewardship and service, reflecting Christ’s example of truth, grace, and impactful communication. By the end of the course, students will be prepared to create digital stories and message campaigns that engage, inspire, and effect positive change in the world.
