NUR 112 Introduction to Nursing

This elective course is taught by the School of Nursing faculty for students considering a major in nursing. The course provides both historical and current perspectives of American nursing. Discussion will begin with the historical evolution of the nursing profession in the United States. Topics to be addressed include nursing education, roles in nursing, and the future of nursing in the 21st century. Students will have the unique opportunity to experience the healthcare environment.
