PRAG 2220 Hydroponics and agricultural production
General description of the theoretical and practical foundations of hydroponic systems. Discussion of economic and ecological advantages. Emphasis on the description of different hydroponic systems and the basic knowledge to build and operate them. Analysis of the formulation of nutrient combinations and the selection of an appropriate culture medium. Discussion related to the management of potential plant pathology problems and their overcoming. Requires 45 laboratory hours.
