MECN 3600 Gas Turbines and Propulsion Systems

Application of the fundamental concepts of thermodynamics, mechanics of fluids, aerodynamics and theory of flow to the analysis and design of propulsion motors of air and space vehicles. Includes the general classification of the propulsion systems, calculation of the force and propulsive power in an arbitrary environment and output. Study and analysis of the components: inlet duct, compressor, combustion chamber, turbine and exit.
