SCIE 201 Medication Administration
This course focuses on enhancing student knowledge of safe practices related to medication administration and calculation by systematically using strategies that provide cognitive and psychomotor skills. Students will build on content learned in previous courses to further their understanding and will apply concepts in both the classroom and laboratory settings. Emphasis is on understanding safe practices, recognizing and remediating errors, the impacts on both the client and nurse related to safe practices, calculations of varying levels using dimensional analysis as the primary tool, and safe use of equipment for medication administration for all populations and settings.
