PA 6112 Medical Ethics
This course examines, in detail, the moral, social and ethical issues physician assistants face and reviews the ethical dimensions in health care. In this course, students examine the ethical responsibilities of a medical professional and debate ethical issues. Students also discuss the physician assistant and patient relationship in detail, covering the importance of maintaining dignity, beneficence, nonmaleficence, justice, autonomy, and confidentiality. Case review will be utilized to apply learned principles. Special attention is given to care at the end of life.
