HIST 5304 The Roots of Democracy, the United, States, 1789-1840
A study of politics, economics and culture in the Early Republic, this course will examine the development of party politics, the growthof capitalism, and the lives of ordinary Americansduring this time, including women, African- Americans and Native Americans.
