Pre-Veterinary
Students interested in College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) programs are strongly encouraged to pursue a Bachelor of Science majoring in Biology and minoring in Biochemistry, Students should be aware that there are only 30 accredited CVM programs in the United States and each program is slightly different in their prerequisite courses. Students pursuing this degree track should make sure they identify the prerequisites needed for top CVM programs to which they intend to apply. In addition, many CVM programs require students to complete Technical Writing (3 hours) and Animal Nutrition (3 hours) as prerequisite courses.
