HIST 5370 European Imperialism
Study of the causes and consequences of the rise of the evolution of European overseas empires and their subsequent decline in the 20th century. Special emphasis will be foucused onthe British Imperial experience particularly in Africa and the Indian sub-continent. Attention will be paid to changes in European society and politics and their impact on colonial affairs, warfare, and aspects of race and colonial cultural relations.
