CET 245 Advanced Surveying Principles

This course covers the methods and computations of advanced surveying. Surveying techniques based on the Global Positioning System (GPS), including static and kinematic surveying are demonstrated. Additional topics include control surveys and geodetic reductions, state plane coordinates, surveys of public lands, photogrammetry, and an introduction to geographic information systems (GIS). This class uses lecture in combination with an opportunity where students may shadow various surveying companies and agencies.

Course Description

Evaluation Criteria/Policies

The grade will be determined using the Delaware Tech grading system:

90-100 = A
80-89 = B
70-79 = C
0-69 = F
