(International Applicants Only) Proof of English proficiency is required if English is not the applicant's native language. Proof of English proficiency may be waived if the applicant received a degree from one of the countries listed below or if the applicant received a degree from a regionally accredited United States institution of higher learning. Proof of English proficiency may be demonstrated by means of the Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL), International English Language Testing System (IELTS), Duolingo English Test, Pearson Test for English (PTE) and in some cases the Cambridge C1 Advanced (CAE) or Cambridge C2 Proficiency (CPE).*

The following scores reflect the minimum admissible level of proficiency: TOEFL (520 paper version; 185 the computer-based test; and 59 for the internet-based test); or IELTS (5.5); or CAE (grade C); or CPE (grade C); or Duolingo English Test score of 100; or Pearson PTE Academic score of 42. CBU will accept English proficiency scores within the past two years.
