MPAS 624 Pharmacology IV
This course is a continuation of Pharmacology III and the final in a series of four. Topics include black box warnings, indications, contraindications, cautions, dosing, drug interactions, adverse reactions, safety, monitoring, drug classes, drug elimination, and mechanisms of action of commonly prescribed medications used in the treatment of these diseases, disorders, and injuries. It addresses the pharmacologic management of musculoskeletal diseases/disorders/injuries and behavioral health diseases/disorders. In addition, pharmacologic management specific to diseases/disorders affecting women, newborns, infants, toddlers, children, adolescents, geriatric and LGBTQ populations will be discussed.
