CMBA 655 Data Analytics and Visualization

This course is focused on the use of data to enhance business operational effectiveness and obtain a competitive advantage in today’s fast paced global business landscape. The course will address the business need for data science and provide students with a hands-on introduction to a variety of software tools, with applications to customer understanding, market segmentation, buying patterns, focused marketing, and recommendation engines. Topics include data preprocessing and cleaning, “big data” and social media, warehousing, analytics, visualization, data mining, neural networks, and deep learning.
