ART 316 Typography

An introduction to the history of typography for the graphic design students. This course emphasizes type identification, type faces and families, type compiling, letter and word spacing, copy-fitting, designing with type, and type as a communication tool. These topics will be introduced through lectures and practiced in project-based assignments.
