Program Description:

The Advanced Manufacturing Technician (AMT) program provides students with a broad range of manufacturing, mechanical, fabrication, electrical, and electronic skills. The curriculum is designed to instill professional practices and behaviors and core manufacturing skills in conjunction with an academic education to develop an all rounded technician that is closely aligned with the needs of employers and industry. Students enrolled in this program will work in a manufacturing facility while attending school.

Graduates who earn credentials in this program work in various industries to fill high-demand technical positions.

Students must maintain a minimum grade C in all courses to graduate from this program. The program takes six semesters (2 years, including two summer semesters) to complete.

Successful graduates will receive an Associate of Science in Engineering Technology from NSU, Certificate of Technical Studies-Advanced Manufacturing from CLTCC, and an AMT certificate from GeauxFAME.

Special Comment

Associate of Science in Engineering Technology from NSU requires 61 credit hours of coursework and Certificate of Technical Studies requires 20 credit hours of coursework.
