SPS-1205 Nature of Work & Wellness
This course is a combination of two required two-credit courses: The Nature of Work and Wellness. The Nature of Work is designed for students beginning their studies in business. Basic business terms, theories, and concepts are introduced and connected via context to the nature of work that students will or have experienced in their careers. In this course, we approach Wellness as an ongoing, personal process that affects all aspects of our lives. Even if wellness is often similar in appearance, the ways each of us imagines, achieves, and maintains wellness are unique. Thus, in this course we will not prescribe a particular activity for or path to wellness. Instead, we will learn to identify and enact wellness strategies. Because we are at a university, we will include an exploration of academic success skills and wellness resources.
