WITHDRAWING FROM A COURSE AFTER THE END OF THE DROP/ADD PERIOD
Procedure
- Drop the course(s) using your Self-Service account following the prompts.
Deadlines, Transcript Notations and Financial Impacts
You should consult the Academic Calendar for the withdrawal date and deadline for each semester. You will find the academic calendar for each semester on the Registrar webpage .
After the add/drop deadline and through the Last Day for Course Withdrawals you will receive a grade of “W” for the course on your academic transcript. A withdrawal grade of “W” has no impact on the calculation of your grade point average. After this date it is not possible to withdraw from a course and your instructor must assign you a final grade.

Electronic Withdrawal from a Course
BCC will now allow students to withdraw from a course, prior to the end of the Drop/Add period, by sending an e-mail from their BCC student e-mail. Students can always drop one or all their classes, prior to the end of Drop/Add, by using Self Service and are encouraged to do so.
