NUR-207 ESSENTIALS OF NURSING EDUCATION

Essentials of Nursing Education is a 2 credit theory course designed to provide the beginning nursing student with the knowledge and skills necessary to be successful in the baccalaureate nursing program. Topics such as study and test-taking skills, research and writing skills, time management and stress management, learning styles, and critical thinking will be explored. Basic competencies for medication calculation, cultural competence, and effective communication will be presented. Prerequisites: Admission to the undergraduate nursing program. Corequisites: NUR 205, NUR 313, and NUR 323
