Health Sciences with a Concentration in Health Professions Education and Technology (MS) - Accelerated Online Program

Purpose

The MSHS with a concentration in Health Professions Education and Technology prepares students who have already completed a bachelor’s degree to lead and educate allied health and health care professionals; public health practitioners; community health educators; school health science educators and administrators. Graduates of the program will also help fulfill the need for qualified teaching faculty, trainers, and leaders in the medical and allied health professions at all levels of professional preparation.

Admission Requirements

Prospective candidates must meet all requirements for graduate admission to UT Rio Grande Valley, as well as the other requirements listed below:

  1. Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in the United States or a recognized international equivalent in allied health science, business, or related field.
  2. Undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0 in the last 60 semester credit hours.
  3. Two letters of recommendation.
  4. Letter of intent.
