Policy:  United States University reserves the right to discipline or discharge employees for any reason permitted by law. Employees are expected to be on the job, ready to work, when scheduled. Inability to report to work as scheduled may lead to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment, for violation of an attendance policy or job abandonment. Employees are expected to meet standards of performance as defined by their job role and failure to meet those standards could result in termination.

Criminal Activity: The University will report all criminal activity in accordance with applicable law. Involvement in criminal activity while employed by the University, whether on or off University property, may result in disciplinary action including suspension or termination of employment.

Standards of Conduct: The University wishes to create a work environment that promotes job satisfaction, respect, responsibility, integrity, and value for all employees, clients, students, and other stakeholders. Violation of standards of conduct could result in discipline, up to and including immediate termination of employment.

Purpose: The purpose of this policy is to disclose the university’s termination policy to its employees.

Scope: This policy applies to all university employees including third-party and contractors.
