LANG 430 Capstone
This course will focus on all four aspects of learning Ojibwe; reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Students enrolled in this course will study different writings and speeches that will include stories, personal accounts, presentations, and older texts in Ojibwe. Through evaluation of these writings, students will gain a better understanding of Ojibwe fluency and Ojibwe discourse. Students will listen to speeches in Ojibwe to further build upon listening, transcribing, and assessment skills. Students will have the opportunity to evaluate fluent speaker sentence structure, grammar patterns, and vernacular conversation.
Prerequisite
Senior Standing in the Ojibwe Language, Culture and History Program and completion of program coursework in semesters I, II, and III.
