The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Data Science and Analytics offers a valuable curriculum in today's technological world and works around the unique needs of working adults. The program can be completed entirely online using a combination of Thomas Edison State University online courses, exams and other credit-earning options and online courses in data science and analytics provided by Statistics.com, which have been evaluated and recommended for credit by the American Council on Education’s (ACE) College Credit Recommendation Service (CREDIT®).
Credits earned by successfully completing the Statistics.com courses identified for the degree will fulfill the area of study requirements of the program. Data Science is an interdisciplinary field that incorporates computer science, statistics and mathematical modeling, and has applications in business, government, the life sciences, social sciences and many other areas. Data Analytics is a subset of data science and focuses on how data can be effectively analyzed and used to rigorously support insight and decision-making.
NOTE: Statistics.com courses are not eligible for federal financial aid. Statistics.com courses do not count toward the residency requirements for degree programs at Thomas Edison State University.

- Area of Study requirements: Earned via Statistics.com online courses (transferred via ACE) or coursework completed elsewhere that satisfies the area of study requirements.
Taking Statistics.com courses
Online courses from Statistics.com are similar to TESU’s online courses. They are interactive, asynchronous, and guided by subject matter experts who provide students with feedback and support. These courses involve a variety of materials, including textbooks and videos, and feature weekly assignments and online interactions among students and between students and the instructor. Tuition Information
Students pay TESU tuition for all courses, exams, and other credit-earning options provided by Thomas Edison State University. If students choose to complete Statistics.com courses, students are responsible for separate Statistics.com tuition, which is ineligible for federal financial aid.
NOTE: The Credit Hour Residency Waiver Fee applies to students who have not earned at least 16 semester hours from the University’s online (OL), Guided Study (GS) or e-Pack® (EP) courses toward their bachelor’s degree.
