The Thomas Edison State University Master of Arts (M.A.) in Educational Leadership Program develops leaders who are prepared to build equitable and just communities in schools and serve as agents of change. Offered online, the accredited program is aligned with the Professional Standards for Educational Leaders and prepares leaders for the New Jersey Principal and School Administrator endorsements. Graduates develop skills to articulate a clear vision, strategize, and drive purposeful and sustained change in educationally diverse environments.
This innovative program is designed to foster personal and professional growth, providing a network of professionals to support and guide candidates to successful completion.
In addition, the program is consistent with the professional standards required by the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) and recommended by the New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Association.
The Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership program is approved by the New Jersey Department of Education as having met the academic requirements for the principal, supervisor, and school administrator endorsements.

Teacher Education Accreditation Council (TEAC) accreditation (CAEP’s official statement for publication): The Educational Leadership Program at Thomas Edison State University is awarded TEAC accreditation by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) for a period of seven years, from Spring 2023 through Fall 2029.
