Academic Advising
APPLICANTS
New students to the University who have questions regarding their academic evaluations are encouraged to contact the Office of Academic Advising at 609-777-5680 for assistance. Newly accepted students should contact Advising after they have submitted transcripts and documents for a credit assessment to the Office of the Registrar for processing. This will allow the academic advisor to account for the applicant’s most current credit history. Applicants can also schedule an appointment online through the Online Appointment System.
ENROLLED STUDENTS
Enrolled students have full access to the University’s academic advising, evaluation and program planning services. Students may call the Advising Expressline at 609-777-5680 to discuss brief questions or can make an appointment for both undergraduate and graduate advising online at https://www.tesu.edu/current-students/make-advising-appointment.
ADVISING EXPRESSLINE
The Advising Expressline is open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Eastern Standard Time by dialing 609-777-5680. The Expressline is intended for 3-to-5-minute conversations and for providing answers to quick questions. For issues requiring additional time and support, students are encouraged to schedule a 30- or 60-minute phone or in-person advising appointment.
PROGRAM PLANNING
Students enrolled with Thomas Edison State University are encouraged to work with an academic advisor by scheduling an advising appointment. Students may review the Advising Program Planning Handbook which is available online. This resource includes detailed information regarding methods of earning credit and associated academic policies which affect course selection. This helpful tool provides the steps required for developing a program plan and is a great resource for students to discuss how to complete their remaining degree requirements.
