Students can earn a Bachelor of Arts degree or a Bachelor of Science degree with this major
Law Major Requirements: 11 courses, 42-44 credits
Core Requirements (8 courses, 32 credits)
Students in the Honors Program have the option of completing the Honors version of a course.

Residency Requirement Policy: In the College of Arts and Sciences, a two-course (8 credit) residency requirement must be satisfied for completion of a minor and a four-course (16 credit) residency requirement must be satisfied for the completion of a major.

Honors in the Major
To become a candidate for honors in the major, a student must:
- Have an overall GPA of 3.3 or higher and a Major GPA of 3.75.
- Students must have also taken all 100 level courses within the respective major by the time of application at the end of the Sophomore year.
- Students must expect to be entering their Junior year.
Once invited to apply, students must upload an unofficial transcript, fill out the department’s application with a short written component addressing the following:
- What is your major?
- What are your extracurricular and/or work experience?
- Why are you drawn to seek honors in the major?
- What academic goals do you wish to achieve with honors in the major?
Deadline: April 15 of Sophomore year.
Admissions decisions will be conducted by the chair, the honors coordinator, and 1-2 representative faculty from the respective major which will form the department honors committee.
To complete requirements for honors in the major, a student must:
- Successful completion of CAS H322, the Junior Honors Interdisciplinary Real World Problems course
- Prepare a major research paper
- Present at the Honors Symposium
- Present at the PSLS Student Research Conference in April
- Graduate with a major GPA of 3.75 or higher and an overall GPA of 3.3 or higher
