MAP 2038 Medical Assisting Laboratory

Introduces the student to basic routine laboratory skills and techniques for collection, handling, and examination of laboratory specimens often encountered in the ambulatory care setting.

NOTE: Documentation of at least two Hepatitis B immunizations are required before the start of this course. Wearing of a watch and appropriate scrubs or lab coat is required.

Grade of C or higher in BIO 1006 (or BIO 2101 & BIO 2102) and HPR 1040, MAP 1020 and MOT 1036. Some courses can be taken as a corequisite
