Medical Billing/Coding Certificate

The Medical Billing/Coding certificate will prepare you to use and apply medical coding for insurance reimbursement and billing in a physician's office, billing, and insurance companies. The program provides a sound knowledge of medical coding rules and regulations, including compliance and reimbursement as well as billing procedures and regulations. CCR 0092 and CCR 0094, or appropriate placement scores, are required for many of the program courses. At the completion of the program, including the capstone course, you are eligible to take the National Certified Professional Coding (CPC) exam.
