Purpose: To document the college’s values and goals in its recruitment, selection, and hiring of employees for college positions and the relevant guidance with which the college’s practices must align.

 

Part 1: Normandale Community College is committed to honoring human differences and cultivating inclusion of different values and ideas in employment and educational opportunities. The college is committed to the principle that all individuals are to be treated with equity, fairness, and dignity.  Further, the college is committed to the principles of affirmative action and equal opportunity in recruiting and hiring qualified individuals, and in retaining and promoting qualified existing employees.

 

The college shall follow recruitment, selection, and hiring practices as outlined by Minnesota State system policies, Minnesota Management and Budget policies, all applicable collective bargaining agreements, and all local, state, and federal, rules, laws, and regulations.
