PHL 3100 PHILOSOPHY OF ST. THOMAS AQUINAS
This course will consist of a carefully selected survey of the Thomistic corpus, with all of its philosophical and theological dimensions. Additionally, it will examine the unique genius of St. Thomas Aquinas, and the multiplicity of ways in which he forged a new path in philosophy, well beyond a mere "baptism" of Aristotle's well-laid foundations. Additionally, it will examine Aquinas' unified understanding of the good, the true, and the beautiful, with all of its rich philosophical and theological implications.
