NUR 2024 FUNDAMENTALS OF NURSING PRACTICE

This course provides the opportunity to learn and practice procedures which will be necessary for giving nursing care to patients of all ages. The course introduces the nursing process and uses this as the organizational framework for each unit. Emphasis is on the development of psychomotor skills utilizing the art and science of nursing to give personal care and foster hygiene, to administer medications, to maintain safety and meet mobility needs, and to meet energy and elimination needs. Students learn procedures in the college laboratory and have the opportunity to practice them in selected clinical areas.
