PSY 3071 PSYCHOMETRICS FOR TEACHERS
Students will learn processes and instruments for measuring cognitive functions, including aptitude and achievement. Both quantitative and qualitative measurement will be discussed as will using outcomes to guide the creation of psychologically sound learning environments. Students will learn to develop their own measurement devices and to use descriptive statistics to summarize and analyze the results. Students will also learn to interpret statistics from norm- and criterion-referenced tests and to analyze statistics reported within technical manuals of commercial tests.
