Early Admissions
The Early Admissions program is designed to meet the needs of students who are prepared academically, socially, and emotionally for college entrance after the junior year of high school. Provisions are made to enable the student to complete any remaining requirements for the high school diploma, such as a unit in English or social studies, while simultaneously engaged in a regular college program of study. A student applying for this program should have a competitive test score and grade point average (GPA). A personal interview with a member of the Admissions is required of all Early Admissions candidates.
The applicant for Early Admissions must submit the following to Admissions:
- A completed application for admission;
- The applicant's high school transcript;
- ACT, or SAT scores;
- Certification from the applicant's guidance counselor of courses still to be completed to satisfy high school graduation requirements;
- Letter of recommendation from a counselor and at least one instructor;
- Written statement of reason for seeking Early Admission and for choosing Mount Saint Mary College (250 or fewer words);
- A $45 application fee
