SLP 1210 Communication and Self-Expression through Multi-Modal Experiences
This course is designed to promote the development of social emotional learning through exploration of self within a safe, predictable, and caring environment. Through the use of narrative pedagogy, music, art, and mindfulness within online asynchronous and in person, face-to-face activities, students will explore their identities, their goals as college students, and increase their ability to communicate their findings. Participants will be immersed in a vibrant learning environment to promote self-discovery, understanding of others, and an openness to learning within a culture of acceptance wherein “emotions matter.”
