BUS 3740 Understanding Income Tax Planning

This course provides the student the basics that will form the foundation of knowledge needed as a working financial service professional. It also serves as a mandatory prerequisite for a student to prepare and apply for the Certified Financial Planner™ Certification Examination. The student will have an in-depth understanding of characteristics, uses and taxation of investment vehicles, understand types of investment risk and describe and quantity investment concepts. Additionally, coursework will cover asset allocation, portfolio diversification, equity and debt value techniques, investment strategies and client assessment.
